Or...how to get your feelings hurt, the easy way

Unfortunately, rejection is a part of everyday life, but perhaps even more so for those engaging in any kind of artistic pursuit. From the moment we decide to take our creative expression from something that is internal and personally fulfilling to the decision to share it with others, we open ourselves up to rejection. It never feels good and can be downright painful and deflating, and if you don’t develop ways to deal with it, it can eat away at you emotionally and seriously hinder your desire to create and move forward. I just wanted to share some of my experiences with rejection and some of the ways I try to deal with it.
